Job title: Technical Information Officer
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Job grade: B
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will:
• Continual improvement and management of internal processes, procedures and formulations on the Company systems to ensure LH products can be manufactured to meet specification, product safety, legality & quality
• Provision of product information to customers through completion of basic questionnaires
• Maintaining accurate technical information, compiled from both external and internal sources. Ensuring consistency of information across all systems
• Generating and maintaining statements as required, with new and updated legislation.
• To assist in maintenance of Kosher and Halal certification, ensuring supplier Kosher and Halal certificates are up to date and support in documentations record.
• Take part in projects as required to support company goals.
• Production of reports, SOPs, notes of meetings and other administrative duties as required.
Essential criteria for this position are:
• Graduate (BSc) or equivalent level, ideally in a food science discipline or equivalent
• An analytical approach to work and proven attention to detail
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) and Adobe
• Good organisational & administration skills
• Ability to prioritise work
• Rigorous attention to detail, accurate and consistent
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
Desirable knowledge and skills:
• Experience of working in a technical department, ideally from food / flavour industry environment.
• Experience of completing customer technical documentation and answering technical queries.
• Experience in food/flavour legislation
