Job title: Flavour Technician (Creative Solutions Technician)
Reports to: Principal Flavourist
Job grade: B

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will:• Assist and support Flavour Team in development briefs

• Assist and support Flavour Team in development briefs
• Accurate compounding of flavours as directed by Flavourists.
• Preparation of application samples for tasting in both the sweet and savoury area across a broad range of food products.
• Maintenance of accurate records of all work carried out.
• General housekeeping and 5S
• Carrying out administrative work to support the Creative solutions team.
• Lab maintenance of laboratory ingredients, raw materials and everyday consumables; maintenance of equipment stocks; general housekeeping and 5S; support with ordering supplies to ensure the lab continues to operate smoothly.

Essential criteria for this position are:

• Food/Chemistry related qualification (possibly recent graduate) or studying in this area (for placement student)
• Accuracy in practical tasks
• Good numerical skills
• Good numerical skills
• Good organisational skills
• Self-motivation and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Good team fit, team player to work well with existing team.
