Chili Scones


  • 225g Plain Flour (50.87%)
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder (9.58g –  2.16%)
  • ½ Tsp salt (2.84g – 0.64%)
  • 55g Butter (12.43%)
  • 150g Milk (33.9%)

Chili Scones Recipe

Delicious Chili Scones recipe made with our Jalapeno Oleoresin and Chilli Capsicum!


1. Take a spoonful of flour out of the weighed amount and plate the flavour onto this

2. Mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder

3. Once the dry ingredients are combined, rub in the butter using your fingers

4. Once you have achieved the texture of breadcrumbs/sand stir in the milk with a butter knife, to create a soft dough

5. Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it lightly then roll out to approx. 3cm thick

6. Stamp out rounds, making sure not to twist the cutter. Rework the excess dough and stamp out more, however make sure not to overwork the dough

7. Place on a lined baking tray and leave to rest in the fridge for 10 minutes

8. Before baking, brush the tops of the scones with Milk to achieve a golden top

9. Bake in the Deck oven for 12 – 15 minutes at 220°C
