Coronavirus Statement Update July 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented businesses and communities with innumerable challenges on a global basis over the last 18 months and, sadly, the direct and indirect consequences continue to cause disruption.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees, suppliers and customers for their continued support and understanding as we all work through this together.

As a family business, the safety and welfare of our employees, customers, business partners and local communities is of paramount importance to us. As the global pandemic continues to run its course we wish to reassure you that we are keeping our processes, operations and business continuity plans in order to minimise the risk of disruption to our customers, whilst continuing to safeguard our employees and their families.

Health & Safety

We are continuously reviewing our Covid-19 risk assessment in line with government guidelines and the best industry practice to implement practical measures on social distancing on our activities, teams and processes. As a World Class Manufacturer, our stringent processes for hygiene and site cleanliness have been adopted into our non-manufacturing areas.

We regularly communicate with our teams to ensure these measures are understood and implemented and each team member is responsible in following these. Our employees’ wellbeing is supported by having robust policies in place and providing access to an employee assistance scheme.

Supply Chain

As the global impact of the pandemic remains fluid, we continue to review the impact on the supply chain of raw materials. At present we are not anticipating any material shipment delays within the supply chain, however, as expected both air freight and sea freight continue to be significantly impacted as a result of COVID and the general capacity challenges in global shipping routes. Road freight is also being affected by a shortage of HGV drivers.

We continue to maintain increased stock levels of raw materials supplied from many of those regions worst affected in order to mitigate the risk of future shortages of supply.

We continue to work with our suppliers globally to ensure that we have a good understanding of their local situation. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure that we can continue to supply our customers’ regular demand of finished products.

In the meantime, stay safe and Naturally Fabulous.

From Team Hitchen
