Job title: Regulatory Compliance Officer (Starting in May 2025)
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Job grade: B
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will:
• Generating and maintaining Safety Data Sheets, Specifications, Labels and other documents for customers, suppliers and for use internally in manufacturing.
• Continual improvement and management of internal processes for collating material information for manufacturing in an efficient way and to optimum turnaround time
• Checking supplier information to ensure compliance to regulations.
• Managing new product and change control processes with the team
• Supporting with the development of IT systems for managing product information for technical, sales and operations teams
• Providing technical advice to the business on hazard information
Knowledge and Skills:
• Graduate (BSc) or equivalent level, ideally in a Chemical science discipline
• An analytical approach to work and proven attention to detail
• Good organisational & administration skills
• Rigorous attention to detail, accurate and consistent
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
• Ability to prioritise work
Desirable knowledge and skills:
• Knowledge and understanding of chromatography and chemical analysis data
• An understanding of global chemical legislation including GHS, CLP and REACH
• Experience of supply classification and authoring of safety data sheets
• Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation
• Experience in food/flavour legislation
