Ingredients

  • 100g Unsalted Butter – 17.7%
  • 80g Golden Caster Sugar – 14.2%
  • 80g Light Soft Brown Sugar – 14.2%
  • 1 (60g ) Egg – 10.6%
  • 40g Golden Syrup – 7.1%
  • 200g Plain Flour – 35.5%
  • 2g Baking Powder – 0.3%
  • 1g Bicarbonate of Soda – 0.2%
  • 1g Salt – 0.2%
  • 80g Chocolate Chips

Miso Cookies Recipe

Indulge your taste buds with a delightful Miso Cookies. This innovative recipe combines the rich umami flavour of white miso with the sweetness of classic cookie ingredients, creating a unique blend that tantalizes the palate.

Method

1. Add the butter to a large bowl and soften slightly in the microwave

2. Once the butter is soft add the flavour and the sugars

3. Whisk this with an electric whisk until pale and fluffy

4. Next add the egg and golden syrup

5. Whisk again until fully combined

6. Then add the flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder and stir until incorporated

7.Add the chocolate chips and fold into to the cookie dough

8. Spoon the dough onto a lined baking in tsp sized pieces

9. Place the baking tray into the fridge and allow to chill for 30 minutes

10. Once the balls of dough have fully chilled, roll each one into a neat ball and placed them onto a lined baking tray with plenty of room to spread out

11. Bake at 160°C for 12-15 minutes until golden brown

12. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack
