As a company committed to sustainable development and the continuous improvement of its processes and solutions, we embraced the opportunity to be assessed by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis is a collaborative platform, recognised worldwide, which evaluates corporate sustainability. The assessment measures against seven management indicators, across 21 sustainability criteria broken down into four themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The results are then analysed taking into consideration existing policies and certifications, and published in a scorecard, that is customized to the industry, location, and size.
The EcoVadis Silver Medal Assessment
This was our first assessment, and we are proud to announce that Lionel Hitchen has been awarded a silver medal in recognition of sustainability achievement. By taking part in the EcoVadis assessment not only does it evaluate our current performance, but it also provides us with benchmarks and detailed feedback of strengths and areas which we can build upon. This constructive information will be used within the organisation to ensure that we improve our sustainability performance throughout. In addition, this ranking demonstrates our on-going commitment to ESG and social responsibility and adds to our existing Sedex accreditation.
