  • 100g Caster Sugar (22.81%)
  • 85g Unsalted Butter (19.39%)
  • 1 (50g) Large Egg (11.4%)
  • 3.4g Baking Powder (0.78)

Watermelon Japanese Butter Cookies Recipe

Delicious Japanese butter cookies recipe made with our Watermelon Flavour!


1. Using a pestle and mortar, plate the flavour onto the sugar

2. Add the sugar mix and softened butter to bowl and mix together until well combined

3. Beat the egg lightly with a fork, add this to the sugar and butter mixture and mix well until incorporated

4. Sift in the flour and baking powder and mix until a dough is formed

5. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap this in cling film and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes

6. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C

7. Remove the dough from the fridge, then on a lightly floured surface roll out the dough to ¼ inch thickness

8. Cut the dough using a cookie cutter and place onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper

9. Place the cookies in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown

10. Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack and allow to cool
