As a family business, the safety and welfare of our employees, customers, business partners and local communities is of paramount importance to us. During these difficult times we wish to reassure you that we have reviewed our processes, operations and business continuity plans in order to minimise the risk of disruption to our customers, whilst safeguarding our employees and their families.
Health & Safety
In line with our legal and moral obligations we’ve enabled our employees who can work from home to do so. This allows our key operational personnel to remain on site.
We are continuously reviewing our Covid-19 risk assessment in line with government guidelines and the best industry practice to implement practical measures on social distancing on our activities, teams and processes. As a World Class Manufacturer, our stringent processes for hygiene and site cleanliness have been adopted into our non-manufacturing areas.
We regularly communicate with our teams to ensure these measures are understood and implemented and each team member is responsible in following these. Our employees’ wellbeing is supported by having robust policies in place and providing access to an employee assistance scheme.
Lionel Hitchen is keeping under review the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak on the supply chain of raw materials. At present we are not anticipating any material shipment delays within the supply chain, however, we do expect that both air freight and sea freight could be significantly impacted over the coming period.
We have increased stock levels of raw materials supplied from many of those regions worst affected, in order to mitigate the risk of future shortages of supply.
We are currently working with our suppliers globally to quantify what further impact, if any, there may be due to the worsening situation. We are taking all possible steps to ensure that we can continue to supply our customers’ regular demand of finished products. Our pre-Brexit preparations, with respect to stock of raw materials from Europe, have given us a strong platform for tackling this new challenge.
Additionally, we are increasing our stock of standard finished products and would be happy to discuss any increased stock requirements that you may have so we can plan these in the most efficient manner.
We are closely monitoring the situation globally and should there be any changes or if further information becomes available from source, we will update you accordingly. You can continue to contact us through your usual channels.
In the meantime, stay safe and Naturally Fabulous.
